Fata Morgana will be developed in the vivid process with local community; the visual materials are collected from home archives related to the work and lives of seafarers from Rauma. The particular interest is in narrow films, film negatives, photographs and letters that were shot, written and received by seafarers on the seven seas. As we get closer to the present day, the collected materials can also be digital.

Fata Morgana is going to be produced as 6th contemporary art project organized by Lönnström Art Museum in Rauma, Finland. Rauma is a town of around 39,000 inhabitants on the west coast of Finland, and it is well known of its maritime industry.
